- O'Brien Constructors has been working on the 62-acre Catholic sanctuary known as the Grotto for several years.
Most recently, in 2008, O'Brien completed an exterior addition to the Welcome Center, which expanded the space by 900 square feet. Prior to that, O'Brien constructed a new Visitor’s
Center to replace the existing gift shop and did extensive work on the Security Building. The challenge of this work has been in maintaining the natural beauty of the site while increasing
the functionality and appearance of the structures themselves to accommodate the over 200,000 visitors the Grotto receives each year.
